High Committee for Creating a Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State held a meeting today, chaired by Professor Kamil Idris
His Excellency Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris chaired a meeting of the High Committee for Creating a Suitable Environment for the Return of Citizens to Khartoum State this afternoon.
At the opening of the committee’s proceedings, His Excellency expressed his thanks and appreciation to Mr. Ibrahim Jaber, Member of the Sovereignty Council, for his significant work and efforts during the past period, reiterating the government’s commitment to providing all necessary support to citizens to facilitate their return to the national capital, Khartoum.
His Excellency also emphasized the importance of communicating with all Sudanese citizens residing abroad and supporting them to expedite their voluntary return.
Minister of Culture, Information, and Tourism, Mr. Khalid Al-Eisir, explained in a press statement that His Excellency the Prime Minister directed that all services be delivered to the neighborhoods of the capital, Khartoum, particularly in the electricity and water sectors.
Al-Eisir indicated that the meeting reviewed reports from the committee heads regarding achievements during the past period and future plans for the coming weeks.
Al-Eisir explained that the meeting discussed the existing challenges and how to find solutions to all the complexities hindering the committee’s work and efforts. He pointed out that His Excellency the Prime Minister stressed the need to set timeframes for delivering all services to Khartoum neighborhoods, especially electricity and water. He added, “The meeting discussed a number of future projects aimed at encouraging people to return, revitalizing citizen movement, protecting markets, and implementing all security and military plans that will allow for creating a suitable environment on both the security and military fronts.”
The meeting also agreed on the necessity of providing petroleum products in all cities of the capital region.
