Dr. Kamil Idris Returns to Khartoum from Munich

Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris arrived in Khartoum this morning after participating in the Munich Security Conference. He was received at Khartoum Airport by the Ministers of Cabinet Affairs, Justice, and Health, as well as a number of other state officials.

His Excellency participated in a panel discussion at the conference, in addition to holding a series of meetings with several heads of delegations from participating countries. During these meetings, he reviewed the developments in Sudan, explaining that the war imposed on Sudan is being financed by external parties through the Rapid Support Forces militia.

During the meetings, Dr. Kamil Idris emphasized the Sudanese government’s commitment to achieving peace and stability throughout the country, and that the Sudanese peace initiative previously presented to the Security Council is the foundation for any peace process in Sudan.

His Excellency held a press conference at Khartoum Airport, where he provided a general briefing on the outcomes of his participation in the conference, highlighting the support and welcome the Sudanese government’s peace initiative received from the countries he met during the conference.
