Al-Burhan Meets with the Qatari Ambassador to Sudan

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah al-Burhan, met today at his office in Khartoum with His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Tajer al-Sada, the Qatari Ambassador to Sudan, and members of the embassy staff.

Al-Burhan praised the distinguished and deeply rooted fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, expressing his profound appreciation for the State of Qatar’s supportive stances towards Sudan and its people in various circumstances.

For his part, His Excellency the Ambassador conveyed the greetings of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, to His Excellency Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, along with His Highness’s wishes for his continued health and happiness, and for Sudan, its government and people, continued progress, stability, and prosperity.

His Excellency the Ambassador congratulated Head of the Sovereignty Council on the government’s return to exercising its duties from the capital, Khartoum, wishing Sudan further development, growth, stability, and peace. The meeting explored ways to strengthen bilateral relations and develop prospects for joint cooperation in all fields, in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two countries and their brotherly peoples.
