Federal Undersecretary of Health Confirms Continues Support for Kassala State

In an official visit to Kassala State, the Undersecretary of the Federal Ministry of Health, Dr. Ali Babiker, met this morning with the governor of the state, Major General Al-Sadiq Mohamed Al-Azraq, in the presence of the Director General of the Health Sector, Dr. Ali Adam, and a number of leaders from the Federal Ministry.

The meeting discussed the health conditions in the state and the challenges facing the sector, especially in the field of therapeutic and diagnostic services, while stressing the importance of expanding the provision of services to rural areas and localizing quality services within the state.

The Undersecretary praised the efforts of the Kassala government and the Ministry of Health in the state in upgrading the health sector, announcing the ministry’s commitment to provide the necessary support and aid to stabilize health conditions,
stressing that the return of some departments to Khartoum does not mean a decline in federal support, efforts will continue through a federal representative in the state to enhance coordination.

The governor of Kassala appreciated the importance of the visit and the need to assess the health reality on the ground, emphasizing the necessity for the state to join efforts and expand services. He called on the ministry for more support.
