A strategic partnership between the Ministry of Health and (WHO) to evaluate Kordofan hospitals under the SHARE program

Within the framework of strengthening international and field cooperation, Dr. Emad Abdel Moneim, Director of the Hospitals Department at the Federal Ministry of Health, revealed the details of the field visit to North Kordofan State as part of the “SHARE” program, a strategic partnership project between the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Emad explained that this visit comes as a continuation of the program for several hospitals, including Dongolla, Al-Dibba, and Al-Sorrab Hospital, all the way to the city of Al-Obeid. He stated that the main objective is to evaluate performance and determine medical readiness in light of the current security and logistical challenges.

The director of the hospitals noted that the visit gained special importance due to the limited access difficulties faced by international organizations in some states. Accordingly, the federal delegation coordinated with experts from the World Health Organization (Dr. Nahid and Dr. Areej) to participate in meetings and field visits to ensure the accuracy of the technical assessment.

During the visit, the delegation held an extensive meeting with the Director General of Al Obeid Hospital and the administration of the Ministry of Health in the state, followed by a field tour that included:
Emergency Medication Stock: Ensuring that there are sufficient pharmaceutical supplies to meet emergencies.

Dr. Emad stressed that this project will continue until the end of this year and is expected to witness a “big opening” and a remarkable development in the level of services and support provided to the targeted hospitals in order to ensure the stability of the health sector in the affected States.
