Closing and opening the tender for medicines, kidney consumables, and oncology drugs at the National Medical Supplies Fund

The National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) closed today Tender No. 2 for kidney medicines and consumables and oncology medicines amid wide participation from companies and factories. The tender was closed today in the presence of the Supreme Committee for Tenders, representatives from the Ministry of Finance and Health, the National Council for Drugs and Poisons, representatives of companies, and the financial and legal departments of the fund.

The Rapporteur of the Tender Committee, Dr. Muhannad Ibrahim, confirmed that 33 companies have withdrawn the tender booklet, while 30 companies have deposited their envelopes in the tender box. Dr. Muhannad added that the donation comes within the framework of the Fund’s efforts to secure a stable supply of medicines for kidney and oncology patients in various states of Sudan, despite the exceptional circumstances that the country is going through.

He confirmed that the process of closing and opening the tender box was carried out in accordance with the procedures followed with full transparency, in the presence of representatives from the technical, financial and supervisory departments. He explained that the step represents an important stage to ensure the arrival of high-quality medicines at competitive prices, which contributes to enhancing the treatment services provided to patients.

Muhannad pledged that Medical Supplies will move forward with its plans to ensure the availability of medicines to meet the needs of patients across the country.

The screening and evaluation committees are expected to start their work in the coming days, in preparation for selecting qualified companies and announcing the results in accordance with the approved controls.
