Finance Minister: We Want Britain to Participate in Supporting Peace Efforts in Sudan

Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, the Minister of Finance, expressed his country’s desire for the British government to participate in supporting efforts to achieve comprehensive peace and address the economic impact of the war on citizens, infrastructure, and basic services.
During his meeting with the British Ambassador to Sudan at the Port Sudan government complex yesterday, he stated that the international community has not provided the necessary support to Sudan and has not taken action to condemn the rebel militia.
The Ambassador, in turn, expressed his country’s interest in ending the war in Sudan and working to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to those affected by the conflict.
