Sudanese Prime Minister Visits Displaced People in El Fasher
Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris concluded his visit to the Northern State, which aimed to assess the overall situation in the state and monitor ongoing humanitarian and service efforts, particularly the aid provided to displaced people arriving from El Fasher and the Kordofan states.
Accompanied by the Governor of the Northern State, Lieutenant General Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, the Prime Minister inspected the El Fasher displaced persons camp in the Ad-Dabba locality. He affirmed the government’s commitment to providing the basic needs of the displaced, praising the state government and its citizens for their support of the people of El Fasher.
Dr. Kamil Idris explained that the militia had committed unprecedented crimes in the history of humanity, both in form and substance, emphasizing that the state had taken all necessary measures to ensure that the perpetrators would not escape punishment.
He added that the battle for dignity against the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia had reached its final stages, and that victory would be on the side of the Armed Forces and their supporting forces.
The Governor of the Northern State, Lieutenant General Abdul Rahman Abdul Hamid, welcomed the Prime Minister’s visit, emphasizing its significant moral impact and reflecting the leadership’s solidarity with its people. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to continuing its support for displaced people from El Fasher, considering it a duty dictated by religious ties and the historical bonds that unite the Sudanese people.
In this context, the Commissioner of Humanitarian Aid, Dr. Salwa Adam Buniya, announced the arrival of 558 tons of flour in the Northern State as support from the Prime Minister for displaced people from El Fasher. She noted that the support also includes shelter materials, in addition to his commitment to supporting the soup kitchens in the El Fasher displaced persons camp in Ad-Dabba, providing life-saving medications, and addressing educational needs.
