Cooperation between the Sudanese Ministry of Interior and its Chinese counterpart

On the contributions of participants in the second ministerial dialogue between China and the IAPCO (Intergovernmental Authority on Development) of Interior Ministers held in Rwanda, Minister of Interior, met with the Chinese Deputy Minister of Police and Internal Security.
The meeting highlighted the longstanding relations between the two peoples in all fields, especially given China’s support for Sudan’s issues.
The Chinese Deputy Minister of Police received a commendation from the Sudanese Minister of Interior for his cooperation with the government in post-war reconstruction efforts. The rebel militia had waged continuous warfare, and the Ministry is working to revitalize its facilities and headquarters. This includes a specialized center of excellence for evidence, which has been established to assist personnel from African countries and IAPCO in crime detection.
The Chinese Deputy Minister of Interior and Security praised the Sudanese Minister of Interior’s efforts in maintaining security and stability in the country. The Ministry continues to support efforts to rehabilitate the center of excellence, and for this reason, they are fulfilling their duty. The Ministry of Interior provides extensive support in the field of training and seeks to enhance its capabilities.
The Chinese Deputy Minister of Security also held a meeting with the Minister of Interior, where China is exploring the ministry’s potential areas of expertise.
