Dr. Salma Reviews Performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments

Sovereignty Council Member Dr. Salma Abdel-Jabbar Al-Mubarak reviewed the performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments and the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah, as well as the Ministry’s preparedness for the upcoming Hajj and Umrah season. She emphasized the need to overcome all existing obstacles and challenges, and to coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure the success of the Hajj season and avoid any challenges facing pilgrims.
During her meeting today at her office in Port Sudan with the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Bashir Haroun Abdel-Karim, she directed him to prepare a plan that would contribute to enhancing Hajj and Umrah services, providing distinguished services, and facilitating procedures for pilgrims.
She also noted the importance of the Ministry and its significant role in raising awareness and providing guidance, which serves the stability of communities and promotes understanding of issues that hinder peace and development in the country.
The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments confirmed that the meeting addressed the ministry’s plan and preparations for this year’s Hajj season.
He also indicated that he provided a detailed explanation of the results of his recent visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which took place at the kind invitation of the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, with the aim of discussing avenues for joint cooperation in all areas related to Sudanese pilgrims.
