PM calls on the international community to intervene to stop RSF violations in El Fasher

Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Kamil Idris called on the international community and humanitarian organizations to urgently intervene in light of the increasing reports of serious violations committed by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in the cities of El Fasher and Bara, stressing that protecting civilians has become a top priority.

In statements to Al Jazeera, Idris praised the steadfastness of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) on various battlefronts, noting their commitment to international humanitarian law in their handling of the conflict, despite the complex challenges on the ground.

Idris said that the government is following with great concern the developments in El Fasher and Bara, where reports indicate serious violations against civilians. He called for immediate international action to halt these practices and ensure humanitarian aid reaches those affected.

These statements come at a time of escalating international calls to halt the violence in Darfur, amid warnings of an impending humanitarian disaster in areas witnessing violent clashes between the army and the RSF.
