AU condemns “atrocities” and “alleged war crimes” in El Fasher, Sudan

African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Yusuf on Tuesday condemned the “atrocities” and “war crimes” reported from the Sudanese city of El Fasher.

In a statement on X, Youssef expressed “grave concern about the escalating violence and atrocities reported” from the city, while condemning “the alleged war crimes and killings of civilians targeting ethnic groups.”
