A training workshop for trainers on infant and young child nutrition during emergencies concludes

The National Nutrition Program concluded today at the Al-Raih Al-Tarifi Hall in Kassala State a training workshop for trainers on feeding infants and young children during emergencies.

The director of the National Nutrition Program, Salwa Surkti, said that the concept of nutrition has changed over time, calling for working hand in hand to improve health indicators in the country through the integration of roles between all programs and the ministry’s management to move forward.

Trainer Mona Maman, an expert in infant and young child nutrition at the Global Nutrition Group (GNC), said that the workshop is a real opportunity to present even the simplest ideas to the country, praising the participants who were distinguished by their desire to receive and benefit from information to bring about the required change in society and to advocate for the issues of infant and young child nutrition during emergencies.

The Infant and Young Child Nutrition Coordinator at UNICEF, Dr. Khaled Taher, considered the end of the workshop as the real beginning of the release of information to the ground, so that children can enjoy well-being and a better life.
The Coordinator of Emergency Nutrition, Rania Ahmed Daoud, said that the workshop lasted for five days, with the participation of 18 states.
