Kabbashi Reiterates Government’s Position Rejecting Negotiations with Rebel Militias
Lieutenant General Shams El Din Kabashi, Member of the Sovereignty Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, met yesterday at the Field Marshal Swar Al-Dahab Hall at the headquarters of the North Kordofan State Government Secretariat with civil society representatives from North and West Kordofan states. The meeting was attended by the Governor of North Kordofan, Abdel Khaliq Abdel Latif Wadaat Allah, and the Governor of West Kordofan, Major General Mohamed Adam Jayed.
Deputy Commander-in-Chief Lieutenant General Kabashi affirmed the determination of the Armed Forces and their supporting forces to move forward in liberating every inch of the country from the filth of the rebel militia.
His Excellency reiterated the government’s firm position of rejecting negotiations with the rebel militia, stating, “The war will not end until the rebels, traitors, and apostates surrender.”
Lieutenant General Kabashi highlighted the readiness of the armed forces, which are fighting with the will and determination of the Sudanese people and their youth, who fought the war with all their components and sacrificed their lives for the homeland.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief reassured the Sudanese people that El Obeid is fortified and announced the arrival of new and advanced weapons to the city. He added that El Obeid, along with the cities of El Khuwai, Nahud, and Dbeibat, are merely transit points for entering El Fasher and all of Darfur.
The Deputy Commander-in-Chief revealed the leadership’s directives to evacuate El Obeid of all combat forces and impose the state’s authority so that citizens can enjoy security. He indicated that the joint forces are responsible for enforcing security in the city.
His Excellency pledged to remove all obstacles related to people’s livelihoods, ensuring a dignified life for them.
His Excellency praised the great support the armed forces receive from both official and popular civilian components in the two states, which has strengthened the armed forces’ resolve to fight the battle of dignity until victory is achieved.
The meeting emphasized the need for cooperation and coordination of efforts among all civilian components in the two states to support the armed forces in order to preserve Sudan’s unity and territorial integrity.
It is noteworthy that the civilian components included the head of the judiciary, the state government council and its security committee, the mobility support committee, the executive branch (Sheikan), notables of El Obeid, the employers’ union, the Chamber of Commerce, community unions, native administrations, armed struggle movements, the Kordofan Entities Supporting the Armed Forces, the state workers’ union, and the education workers’ union.
