A delegation from (WHO) inspect the extent of the destruction at the headquarters of medical supplies

A delegation from the World Health Organization (WHO), headed by the Director of the WHO Office in Sudan, Dr. Shibl Sahbani, visited the headquarters of the National Fund for Medical Supplies in Khartoum, to assess the extent of the damage caused to buildings and infrastructures as a result of the war.

During the visit, the Director General of the National Fund for Medical Supplies, Dr. Badreddin Mohamed Ahmed Al-Jazouli, gave a comprehensive briefing on the current situation of the Fund, addressing the current challenges, the rehabilitation plan, and the future vision for reform and restoration of the drug supply cycle.

The delegation toured a number of damaged buildings and warehouses, where they saw the extent of the destruction of logistics assets, air conditioning systems, and supporting storage units. The Delegation hoped to mobilize support from partners and international organizations to contribute to the rehabilitation of the Fund and enable it to play its vital role in the provision of medicines and health services.
