The Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Coordination Mechanism Convenes

Al-Raih Al-Tarifi Hall in Kassala State witnessed the organizing of the coordination mechanism for the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI).
On behalf of the Expanded Program on Immunization at the Federal Ministry of Health, Nader Hammad said in a press statement that the coordination mechanism is one of the strategies developed by the EPI to raise the degree of coordination, complement roles, in addition to following up on the implementation of activities in the emergency situation, appreciating the roles of international and UN organizations.

Hammad noted that the program concluded yesterday with the semi-annual meeting to evaluate the immunization program for the first half of the year 2025. The meeting included the participation of the directors of immunization, routine, investigation, and supply in person from 11 states. It lasted for three days and discussed all issues related to the provision of the service, including campaigns, the supply situation, and its plans for the coming period, as well as the status of pathological investigations of childhood diseases targeted by vaccination. He noted the assurance of the plan and what was accomplished in the follow-up and evaluation axes, resulting in a number of recommendations that addressed basic issues.

The Director of the EPI in the White Nile State, Almaz Mahmoud, confirmed the submission of valuable papers through the meeting of the coordination mechanism to unify efforts. The meeting resulted in important recommendations for immunization managers in the states, as well as partners from organizations, regarding the level of service provision during the previous period and attribution, in addition to the challenges facing coordination. He pointed out that the recommendations will support the progress of the immunization program in the coming period.
