Medicines arrive at the warehouses of the National Fund for Central Medical Supplies in Khartoum

The warehouses of the National Fund for Medical Supplies in Khartoum State witnessed the arrival of medicine trucks from the city of Port Sudan today, in the presence of the Director General of the Fund, Dr. Badr Al-Din Mohamed Ahmed Al-Jazouli.

This move comes within the framework of the gradual return to work at the Fund’s headquarters in Khartoum, following the adoption of Port Sudan during the past period as a major hub for the management of supply and distribution operations.

Dr. Badr Al-Din Al-Jazouli stressed that the arrival of medicines in Khartoum represents a strategic step to strengthen the pharmaceutical stocks and restore the central role of the Fund in ensuring the flow of medical supplies to health institutions in the capital and the states. He also pointed out that the Fund is working according to a tight plan that includes rehabilitating warehouses and activating logistical systems to ensure the stability of the pharmaceutical supply.

He added that the next phase will witness the continuation of the flow of shipments successively, which contributes to securing the needs of hospitals and health centers for life-saving medicines and basic treatments, stressing the Fund’s commitment to play its national role in supporting the health system and meeting the needs of citizens.
