Minister of Human Resources and Social Development: We are committed to lifting Sudanese out of poverty

The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Mutassim Ahmed Saleh, entered intensive meetings that included the Minister of State in the Ministry, Salima Ishaq, and the Governor of Central Darfur, Mustafa Tambour, in addition to a working visit to the Social Security Investment Authority.
Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Mutassim Ahmed Saleh pledged in press statements following the meetings to work hard to lift the Sudanese people out of the cycle of poverty that they have entered due to the war and has doubled the number of poor people.
Saleh revealed an agreement with the Minister of State at the Ministry, Salima Ishaq, to work in a team spirit to achieve the goals of the Ministry and implement the 100-day plan adopted by the Government of Hope led by Prime Minister Dr. Kamel Idris.
During his visit to the Social Security Investment Authority, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development committed to improving the conditions of pensioners and applying an increase in the entitlements of the tranche by 15%, in addition to continuing efforts to address the problems facing the Authority by increasing the Authority’s funds.
Saleh unveiled an agreement with Central Darfur Governor Mustafa Tambour to address the problems facing the state’s displaced people in safe states, especially White Nile, related to housing, the scarcity of tents, education and food.
He announced his intention and the governor of the state to sit down with the competent authorities to address them.
For his part, the Minister of State at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, Salima Ishaq, stressed that the ministry will work in a team spirit, especially as it faces great challenges in addressing the social problems of the Sudanese and managing their affairs, adding: “This is the people’s ministry and we will support the normalization of the relationship between citizens and state agencies.”
The Governor of Central Darfur, Mustafa Tambour, described the meeting with the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development as positive and said that he has developed a roadmap to address the problems of the state’s displaced people.
