Khartoum North Water Station Shuts Down Due to Sharp Drop in Nile Water Level

Khartoum North bWater Station stopped operating completely yesterday, recording zero water production. This sudden shutdown is due to the sharp and unprecedented drop in the River Nile water level, which directly impacted the station’s ability to draw water and provide it to citizens.

As part of the immediate follow-up of the crisis, Consulting Engineer Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, Director General of the Khartoum State Water Corporation, directed urgent measures to address the situation. The Corporation is currently working to secure a dedicated excavator to clear the sub-canal that feeds the station directly from the Nile.
This measure is vital and decisive to redirect water flow to the station’s pumping barge, enabling it to resume water drawdown and operate the station at full capacity as soon as possible.

Khartoum State Water Corporation urges citizens to understand the situation and hopes for the station’s resumption of operation as soon as possible to ensure the water supply returns to normal.
