Al-Burhan Meets Iraqi President

Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, , met yesterday with Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid on the sidelines of his participation in the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development held in Seville, Spain.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields.
They also discussed regional and international developments and issues of common interes
Al-Burhan affirmed the eternal nature of relations between the two countries, noting joint cooperation in all fields. He emphasized Sudan’s firm and unwavering commitment to strengthening these relations in the service of the supreme interests of both countries.
Lieutenant General Al-Burhan briefed the Iraqi President on the overall developments in Sudan, efforts to achieve peace, security, and stability, and the victories achieved by the armed forces on all fronts, in addition to the systematic crimes committed by the Al-Dagalo terrorist militia against citizens and the destruction of the Sudanese state’s infrastructure.
For his part, the Iraqi President described Sudanese-Iraqi relations as distinguished and witnessing significant development at various levels, stressing his interest in developing and strengthening them to enhance the trajectory of relations towards broader horizons.
