Sudan and Egypt Discuss Using Border Crossings to Serve Humanitarian Issues

Lieutenant General Al-Sadig Ismail Mahmoud, Advisor to the Sovereignty Council for Organizations and Humanitarian Action, met with Ambassador Hani Salah, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Sudan.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Sudan and Egypt and the potential for developing humanitarian work in the coming period.
The meeting addressed the idea of developing cooperation and coordination across land border crossings between Sudan and Egypt and the possibility of using these crossings to serve humanitarian issues in the country.
Lieutenant General Al-Sadig welcomed Ambassador Hani Salah’s visit and thanked Egypt for its role in all areas of joint cooperation.
For his part, the Egyptian Ambassador affirmed his country’s readiness to exert every effort in regional and international forums to convey the message that Sudan is committed to preserving the security and rights of Sudanese citizens.
