Khartoum Governor inaugurates Bank of Khartoum branch in Al-Shajara

As part of the return of institutions and the resumption of their operations in Khartoum State, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza today inaugurated the Bank of Khartoum branch in Al-Shajara, which has resumed operations as the first branch in Khartoum Locality and the sixth in the state. The opening was attended by Abdel Moneim Al-Bashir, Executive Director of Khartoum Locality, Major General Omar Shinko, Head of Khartoum Security Department, and Dr. Qurashi Suleiman Adam, representative of the Bank of Sudan.
The governor praised the leadership of the Al-Shajara military area for its steadfastness, which represented a safety valve for Khartoum and repelled more than 200 armed rebel attacks, and was a reason for victory and normalization of life.
He praised the Bank of Khartoum for its great contributions since the first moments of the war in providing services to the citizens of the state and alleviating their suffering.
He appealed to the banks that opened their branches in Khartoum State to extend more electronic services to ease the burden on customers.
He also appealed to citizens, merchants and banks to return to reconstruction, saying that economic reconstruction is the most important thing and banks represent the artery of the economy. The manager of the Bank of Khartoum branch in Al-Shajara, Sherine Zakaria, confirmed that the branch represents one of the contributions working to alleviate the burden of war on citizens and promised to facilitate procedures for opening accounts and other transactions to serve customers.
