Counterfeit Banknotes and Currency Printing Machines Seized in Omdurman

A specialized field team, led by an officer from the Central Criminal Investigations Department, Omdurman Branch, achieved a new security accomplishment through monitoring, follow-up, and field investigations.

The information tracked led the force to raid a house in Ombada, District 39, Al-Amiriya, where they found a large quantity of counterfeit banknotes, seven currency printing machines, and seven chippers, with a total value of 49 million Sudanese pounds.

According to the police press office’s follow-up, the necessary legal measures were taken at the Northern Khartoum Police Station, adding this new accomplishment to a series of similar achievements made by the state police and its criminal branches during the previous period.
