Agar sets conditions for negotiations with Rapid Support Forces

The Deputy Head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, said that there is nothing preventing them from sitting with the Rapid Support Forces if the layer commit to implementing the Jeddah Agreement.
He added in a press release following his meeting with the Djiboutian President: “But the military expansion of the rebel forces pushed the national army to fight in order to preserve the Sudanese people and their capabilities.”
He pointed out that he appealed to the Djiboutian President for Africa to play a greater role in ending the Sudanese crisis, and continued: “I assured him that we are fully prepared to sit for dialogue with the new leadership of the African Union to end the suspension of Sudan’s membership.”
