Finance Ministry confirms the importance of using electronic payment to develop performance in the government sector

The technical committee of the electronic payment emergency room at the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning stressed the importance of developing financial and accounting performance in the government sector using the electronic collection and payment system and modern technologies in a way that contributes to saving time and effort and helps transparency and efficiency of performance, with the necessity of continuous efforts to stabilize banking applications and address technical problems in their field. Mr. Abdul Mohsen, Deputy Director General of the Audit Bureau, member of the technical committee – while chairing the enlightenment meeting for financial managers and accountants with the participation of Eng. Lemia Muhammad Al-Nour, Director General of Information Technology and Head of the Committee at the Ministry – gave a detailed explanation of the electronic collection and payment system, its advantages, its use and the variables affecting it. The directors’ comments on the system were heard and the experiences of the units that began the actual implementation of collection were reviewed.
It is noteworthy that the number of participants in the meeting amounted to (73) financial and accounting managers working at all ministries and government units operating in the city of Port Sudan.
