Higher Education Calls for the Return of Cultural Attachés to Sudan’s Foreign Embassies

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research,Pro. Mohamed Hassan Dahab, called for the return of cultural attachés to Sudan’s foreign embassies, especially in countries with great student weight, due to their importance in following up the conditions of scholarship students, and activating scholarship programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
This came during his meeting with Ambassador Ali Yousef Al-Sharif, Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the meeting, they stressed the need to sensitize the enthusiasm of Sudan’s ambassadors abroad to move diplomatically and organize joint meetings with the ministers of higher education in those countries, especially with countries that have distinguished relations with Sudan, with the aim of activating joint cooperation agreements to provide support for institutions and research centers, increase grants for Sudanese students, and develop educational relations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs directed the competent authorities in his ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education, to develop solutions to common concerns, to follow up the implementation of proposals and strategic solutions for students on scholarships to study abroad
