Kassala hosts the 47 Forum of the NHIF

Minister of Social Development, Ahmed Adam Bakhit, praised the resilience and leadership of the National Health Insurance Fund in his speech at opening session of the National Health Insurance Fund Forum in its forty-seventh edition in Kassala State .

Despite the challenging conditions of war, he highlighted the Fund’s accomplishment of restoring services in 800 out of 300 thousand outlets, reaching a remarkable coverage rate of 90%.

Bakhit commended the extensive reach and high-quality services provided by the health insurance, particularly in areas such as Jebel Moon, Fur Baranga, and Oulu in West and Central Darfur states. He emphasized the importance of the forum in addressing issues and enhancing positive aspects to further improve the Fund’s coverage and support for citizens.

The Minister’s remarks underscore the significant impact of the National Health Insurance Fund in delivering vital healthcare services to communities affected by conflict, reflecting the unwavering commitment of its leadership and staff to ensuring access to healthcare for all.
