Head of the Supreme Council for Youth praises SFPA at the conclusion of the Pink October activities

Head of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in the Nile River, Ms. Hawa Mohamed Idris, addressed the Sudanese Family Planning Association (SFPA) in Atbara yesterday, Monday, the closing of the Pink October activities organized by the SFPA in the presence of Dr. Magda Abdullah, Minister of Health, Mr. Salah Al-Jilani, Executive Director of the association in Sudan, and Ms. Kawthar Mohamed Ibrahim, Executive Director of the River Nile State, General Intelligence Service representative, in addition to leaders and representatives of national organizations, praising the association’s efforts in supporting and adopting social projects that contribute to the stability of the Sudanese family, stressing the distinguished partnership between the council and all community institutions through youth and sports and their role in the health of society, especially sports, which has proven to treat a number of cancerous diseases, calling at the same time for the awareness of young people, especially women, of the changes surrounding them and their early detection.
Mr. Salah Al-Jilani, Executive Director of the organization in Sudan, confirmed that the event of celebrating breast cancer patients comes within the plans and programs of the association to educate and raise awareness in society about the dangers of the disease, praising the SFPA in the River Nile and its societal role that created a distinguished partnership with different segments of society to achieve the goals and slogans of the association
For her part, Ms. Kawthar Muhammad Ibrahim, the Executive Director of the association in River Nile State, confirmed that the event, which comes under the slogan (No war will stop us…Together to stop breast cancer), is a slogan that carries the challenge to confront the dangers of the disease and provide psychological and medical support to all those infected with the disease.
Kawthar revealed through the event the dangers of the disease and ways to prevent it and the process of social integration that the organization focuses on through its programs.

It is worth noting that the activities of the celebration of Pink October, which concluded yesterday, included educational programs and awareness sketches, in addition to a demonstration match for women in handball organized by the local handball union in River Nile state under the slogan Together to stop breast cancer.
