Chinese Language at Nile Valley University

Dr. Al-Amin Al-Tayeb Al-Tahir, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Nile Valley University, received in his office this afternoon a delegation from the Sudanese-Chinese Institute headed by Dr. Othman Al-Hassan Othman, the academic advisor of the institute, and Muhammad Al-Matbaji, Director of the Sudanese-Chinese Institute of Languages, in the presence of Dr. Bashir Fadl Al-Mawla, Director of the Training and Capacity Building Center at the university, and Abdul Rahim Abdul Wahab, Vice President of the University.
The meeting discussed opportunities for cooperation between the university and the institute in terms of teaching and educating the Chinese language to faculty members, university employees and other categories of society.
Dr. Osman Al-Hassan Osman, the institute’s academic advisor, spoke, thanking the Nile Valley University for providing the institute with the opportunity to fulfill its duty towards the state community and the university, especially through teaching the Chinese language at the university, indicating the long history of the Nile Valley University and the excellence of its graduates, both domestically and internationally, which prompted us to conclude a partnership with the Nile Valley University, in addition to the estimated number of its members who obtained advanced degrees from the People’s Republic of China.
He pointed to the depth and strength of Sudanese-Chinese relations, affirming the developmental role of China in the African continent and Sudan in particular, adding that the Chinese people are peace-loving people who seek to form friendships with all the peoples of the African continent, indicating the importance of learning the Chinese language, as China has become a force to be reckoned with in all fields.
He desclosed that they seek, through their partnership with the university, to teach the Chinese language to all sectors of society through specialized short and medium training courses.
They also provide scholarships to continue studying in the People’s Republic of China and learn about Chinese culture closely.
For his part, Dr. Al-Amin Al-Tayeb Al-Tahir, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University, welcomed the delegation of the Sudanese-Chinese Language Institute and listed the benefits of learning foreign languages, especially Chinese, as China has a large presence in Africa and Sudan through its companies and investments in all fields, which requires proficiency in the Chinese language for non-native speakers.
He also directed that the institute cooperate with the Languages ​​Department at the Faculty of Arts in Berber. He also directed the University’s Training Department to begin preparing a protocol for cooperation with the institute so that it can begin performing its mission.
Dr. Bashir Fadl Al-Mawla, Director of the Training and Capacity Building Center at the Nile Valley University, announced the center’s readiness to enter into a partnership with the institute in accordance with the regulations and laws governing the work, stating that the center will grant various certificates such as short and medium course certificates.
