Al-Burhan witnesses signature of an agreement between Sudan and China to develop the agricultural sector in Sudan

Hesd of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, 1st. Lieutenant General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan witnessed today in the Chinese capital, Beijing, the signing ceremony of an agreement between the Export Development Group of the Defense Industries System, and the Chinese AHCOF Company, to develop the agricultural sector in the country, on the sidelines of his participation in the China-Africa Cooperation Forum Summit currently being held in the Chinese capital, Beijing.

The agreement was signed by Engineer Alaa El-Din Osman Al-Aas on behalf of the Export Development Group, while Mr.Babi Ayhan, the group’s director, signed on behalf of the Chinese AHCOF Group of Companies “specializing in the agricultural sector.” The agreement aims at developing the agricultural sector in Sudan.

The signing ceremony was also honored by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Jibril Ibrahim, and the Director General of the Defense Industries System, Lieutenant General Mirghani Idris Suleiman, in addition to members of the leadership of the two groups.

For his part, Babi Ayhan, Chairman of the AHCOF Group of Companies, stressed in a press statement the importance of this agreement, noting that it will contribute to enhancing joint cooperation between Sudan and Beijing in the field of developing the agricultural sector in Sudan, and promoting areas of economic cooperation between them, noting that the company is one of the largest companies importing Sudanese agricultural products.

He said, “By signing this agreement, we will work to support and increase the volume of imports of oilseeds from Sudan, expressing his hope to develop and enhance joint cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of developing the agricultural sector.
