Head of the TSC witnesses the signing of agreements in the fields of solar energy, mining and transmission lines

Head of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st. Lieutenant-General Abdul Fattah Al-Burhan, witnessed today in Beijing, on the sidelines of his participation in the work of the China-Africa Forum, witnessed Signing agreements in the fields of solar energy, mining and transmission lines, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Oil, Eng. Mohy El-Din Naim Mohamed Said, the Ambassador of Sudan in Beijing, Ambassador Omar Siddiq, and the Director General of the Defense Industries System, Lieutenant-General Mirghani Idris.

For his part, Engineer Anas Ahmed El-Badawy, CEO of Energy and Mining Group, said that a number of MoUs and contracts were signed with Chinese companies. He indicated that this work comes within the framework of bridging the energy gap, adding that there is a trend towards clean and solar energy, indicating that these contracts will contribute to the production of 1,500 megawatts of solar energy, as well as the pursuit of the use of electrical equipment.
He said that agreements were also signed with China’s electricity companies to repair the transmission lines and to provide the equipment and transformers required to facilitate the transfer of electricity from the generation zones to the consumption zones.
A strategy with Chinese institutions, where the focus is on iron ore, considering that Sudan is rich in this mineral.
For his part, Wan Oziho, head of the group companies, CCCCG, explained that these agreements with Sudan reinforce the principle of strategic partnership between China and Sudan.
He indicated that the value of these agreements is $30 million, expressing his hope that these agreements will be a good start for the Sudanese economy, pointing to the diplomatic relations between Beijing and Khartoum.
Head of the Sovereign Council had held fruitful and successful meetings with the directors of a number of Chinese companies working in the fields of oil, solar and electricity, which resulted in the signing of these agreements today.
