Director SMRC calls on Chinese companies to resume gold production

The Director General of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company(SMRC), Mohamed Tahir Omar, announced the harnessing of all technical capabilities and security agencies operating in the mining sector, to facilitate the tasks of foreign companies to carry out exploration operations, reaching the point of securing the insurance sites in all stages of the mining process.
During his meeting with the management of the Chinese Wanbao and Al-Najim Group of Companies, Mohamed Tahir stated that there is no security threat in the companies’ blocks in the east and north of the country, citing that the government is operating at its maximum capacity, in addition to the movement of airports and ports.
The Director General of the SMRC called on the Chinese companies to expedite work and reach the production stage to support the economies of the two countries.
For his part, the representative of the Chinese companies group, “Mr. Li”, revealed an ambitious plan to produce gold in the near future, indicating the desire of the management of the Chinese companies group to resume work and enter the production stage.
