Agar meets the National Health Insurance Fund Director

Deputy Head of the Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Ayre, praised the performance and achievements of the National Health Insurance Fund during the past period.

He was briefed during his meeting in his office today with the Director General of the Fund, Farouk Nour El-Daim Omar, on the most prominent performance indicators for the first half of the year 2024, as 90% of health services were restored and service was restored in 850 outlets, including 150 hospitals, representing 70% of public hospitals, and the frequency of health insurance services reached more than 4 million citizens and the increase in drug supply by 93%.

The meeting discussed partnerships with a large number of internal institutions and international organizations such as the Japanese JICA and the World Health Organization and health insurance for Sudanese refugees in Egypt in coordination with the medical attaché at the Sudanese Embassy in Cairo.
