Our Trust in Egypt Remains Eternal

By: Dr. Mamoun Ali Farah

We fully trust Egypt because it is a safe partner under the leadership of His Excellency President Abdul Fattah El-Sisi, who has given a lot to the people of Sudan and takes care of this large community in Egypt with the generosity of the Egyptian people, who treat their people in the south of the valley as brothers.

We commend this step, which now finds a large area of discussion. Indeed, it has found a distinct resonance with the people, and since the Foreign Ministry’s welcome yesterday, the Egyptian initiative has formed the focus of an optimistic discussion to resolve the Sudanese crisis in the coming days.

We kept repeating strongly that we are aspiring for a major Egyptian role to end the Sudan crisis.
We trust official Egypt to play this role.

Who else but Egypt stood with us in this ordeal that befell us? It is Egypt, which strongly supported and assisted the masses of Sudanese people who fled the war and headed to Egypt as a safe haven.

There are enthusiastic reactions since the announcement of an expected Egyptian role to resolve the Sudanese crisis and bring the national ranks together to agree on principles that would lead the Sudanese nation to stop the war and lay new foundations for the establishment of a state where the law prevails and resort to the voice of the people in holding free and fair elections that would pave the way for the country’s renaissance.
