Rapid Support militia enters the oil pumping station in Al-Aylafoun

Eyewitnesses from the East Nile region reported that large numbers of rebel Rapid Support militia forces entered Pumping Station No. (4) in the Al-Ailfoun area, after the armed forces’ attacks on the area increased with drones and artillery.

An oil expert feared that the militia’s entry into the station would lead to major damage from looting and vandalism, or if they were targeted by bombing.
The expert added that the station passes through the line transporting South Sudanese oil, which transports about 105 thousand barrels per day. It accounts for more than 90% of South Sudan’s exports and is considered the country’s main economic resource.
The expert said that the Rapid Support Forces’ entry and closure of the station resulted in a loss exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars for the state of South Sudan.
