Ministry of Trade Issues New Organising Regulations

Ministry of Trade has started the issuance of the new commercial register and renewing the previous ones the validity of which is only one year instead of two as was in the past.
The Ministry also approved new serial numbers for the registers to be in force as of January 2024 including the new and renewal of registration starting from number (1) aiming at establishing new database.
This comes within the new measures set by the Ministry for the issuance of exporters and importers certificate.
The most important measures for that are presenting the following documents to the Ministry:
1. Statement from investigation department of the Ministry.
2. Commercial Register Certificate from the Commercial Registrar (Arabic and English)
3. Memorandum of Association showing the objectives according to the capital.
4. Official letter of renewal from the Commercial Registrar.
5. National IDs of the company’s shareholders.
6. Membership of the Chamber of Commerce.
7. Certificate from Taxation Chamber.
8. Certificate from Zakat Chamber
9. Statement from the bank where the company has account to show that the capital coincides with the company’s deposit as stipulated in the Memorandum of Association.
