Comments of the renowned Sudanese diplomat, Dr. Khidir Haroun on Al-Burhan’s UNGA Speech

I think he did relatively well. He said what was supposed to be said in an event the entire world leadership are attended .He detailed the atrocities have been inflicted by RSF militia for the last six months upon civilians in greater Khartoum ,western Darfur and other spots in Sudan .He mentioned their occupation of civilian homes, hospitals ,federal agencies building raping women and killing randomly. He asked the international community to consider RSF a terrorist organization . He added here that its supports by some in the region and beyond is detrimental to the regional and international peace and order. He fell short here of naming names which I wish he did because the life support system for the criminal militia would prolong the suffering of the Sudanese people . I hope he would mention that in his meeting with heads of state particularly the permanent members of the UNSC. Stop naming names means the continuation of this ugly war .I wished also he characterized what took place in Jenaina in Western Darfur as genocide which I believe was.All in all his presence is significant confirming that there is a legitimate government to deal with and that RSF is no longer a part of it.
