Al-Burhan: I am in the command center and I will only leave it on a (coffin)

The head of the Sovereignty Council, the army commander, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan confirmed that “all airports are under the control of the army, except for the airports of Khartoum and Nyala.”

Al-Burhan said, “I am currently in the command center, and I will only leave it on a coffin.”
Al-Burhan explained, according to Al-Arabiya and Al-Hadath channels, that “the living conditions are deteriorating, and we share the international community’s concern about foreign nationals.”

The Sudanese army commander accused the Rapid Support Forces of “violating diplomatic missions without regard to international law.”

He pointed out that “the Rapid Support Groups are deployed in residential neighborhoods, and they take civilians as human shields.”

Al-Burhan said, “The Rapid Support Groups evacuated hospitals and turned them into military outposts.”
the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council considered that “the Rapid Support Forces are the ones that started the attack and we took a defensive position,” stressing that “the army is purely Sudanese national forces and is not subordinate to anyone.”

Regarding his expectation of the timing of the end of this conflict, Al-Burhan replied that “no one can predict when and how the war will end,” adding that “the war within cities prolongs the confrontation, and that militants must be removed from residential areas to end the war.”
