Al-Burhan directs providing Zalingei citizens with necessary services

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, 1st Lt. General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, gave directives to government of Darfur region to provide the necessary services to the citizens of Zalingei and facilitate the means of a decent life for them,  considering that the area is considered a  model of peaceful coexistence.

During his address yesterday the Iftar organized by the youth initiative for the people of the city of Zalingei at the Grand Hotel in Khartoum, in the presence of  the Governor of Darfur Region, Mini Arko Minnawi, and number of ministers and dignitaries of the Zalingei community, Al- Burhan called for the need to restore security and stability to the people of Zalingei, given that security and tranquility represent the backbone of life, pointing to his stay in the city of Zalingei for more than 12 years during his service in the Armed Forces, during which he touched the level of harmony and coexistence among its citizens.

He indicated his awareness of all the problems facing the city, represented in water, health, education and roads, adding that they are accumulated problems that must be addressed so that the citizens of Zalingei can enjoy security and stability.

He asserted that the city of Zalingei represents the true nucleus of thought, science, culture and liberation, adding that it is a city devoid of regionalism, racism and partisanship.

For his part, Governor of Darfur Region, Mina Arko Minnawi, said that his participation in this occasion comes within the framework of commitment to serve the citizens of Zalingei, indicating that the people of this city deserve attention and care, stressing the commitment of the Darfur Regional Government to give development and services issues in Zalingei top priority in appreciation to the diversity of the society and coexistence between its various components.
