Entities Sign Charter of Sudan Unity Alliance

A number of sectors, party entities, voluntary organizations, armed movements, native administrations, research, academic and cultural centers, and youth groups signed on Monday the Charter of the Sudan Unity Alliance.

The charter stressed the necessity of preserving the identity and unity of Sudan, ending the hate speech that threatens the civil peace and political stability and promoting opportunities for a decent life, indicating that the signatories agreed on the charter on a purely political, social and national program.

The signatories agreed on a number of issues, top of which are preserving the identity of Sudan, promoting the values of the state and society, in addition to achieving the aspirations of the people to establish a state of law and justice.

The charter stressed the importance of confronting intellectual and regional projects that seek to undermine society’s values and thinking and divide the country, in addition to instilling the values of reconciliation, reparation, restoring power to the people, and reforming the justice organs and the civil service.

The charter called for adherence to peace and avoiding return to war and the change of the movements into political parties to practice political work.
