Chadian Minister of Transport Visits Khartoum North Railway Station

Within the programme of the visit of the Chadian Minister of Transport and Roads Safety to Sudan aiming at standing on Sudan Railways experience in passengers and goods transport, she and her accompanying delegation visited Khartoum North Railway Station where they witnessed the process of passengers’ transportation via the Nile Train (Khartoum/Atbara) in the presence of the General Manager of Sudan Airways, Director of Sudan Railways Police.

For his part, General Manager of Sudan Railways said that they are working through four units of transporting the passengers from Khartoum to each of Atbara and Mednai, besides a local train linking Babanuosa with Nyala. He briefed the visiting delegation on the locomotives number on the line.

It is worth noting that the visiting minister has taken the train from Khartoum North to the premises of Sudan Railways in Khartoum where the joint talks are taking place on Port Sudan/Adri railway.
