The Sudanese Omeima Mudawi enters the British Honor System after being awarded the third highest ranking Order of the British Empire by King Charles III

Omeima Osman Khalid Mudawi, was born in Sudan in 1969, She became deaf when she was four years old, following an attack of meningitis, and lived in Khartoum until she was twelve years old. Then her family decided to leave Sudan as her brother became deaf to give them better educational and life opportunities, the main reason for them leaving was because there were no schools for the deaf in Khartoum or a community for the deaf. According to Omeima, the teachers did not understand her disability. However, her father remained in Sudan.

Omeima is an English woman of Sudanese origin. She is a Fine Artist, who was deaf in her early childhood, but with her powered will she overcame all the difficulties she faced at that stage. Now, with her influential and inspiring personality, she has been able to do a lot for deaf children and people with special needs in Britain.

In her life, Omeima was awarded some great awards including: the Arab British Center for Culture Award in 2019, she was selected as a finalist for the Dentons Art Prize, and was recently been awarding the MBE Medal by King Charles III.

The Member of British Empire Medal (MBE) which is of the British Honor System is presented by the United Kingdom to those who provide charitable or artistic works.

Because of people like Omeima Mudawi Sudan still has its great reputation of its great artists, doctors and scientists that perform wonderful work in the world.
