Kiir emphasizes the importance of achieving peace in Sudan

The President of the Republic of South Sudan, Lieutenant-General Salva Kiir Mayardit, stressed the importance of achieving peace, security and stability in Sudan, as it is linked to the security and stability of the State of South Sudan and the region.
This came after his meeting in his office at the Government Secretariat in Juba today, two members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, the head of the government delegation, Lieutenant General Shams al-Din Kabbashi and Mr. Malik Agar Air ,governor of Darfur region Mini Arko, Mayor Badi Governor of the Blue Nile and the governor of West Darfur Khamis Abakar in the presence of President Salva Kiir advisor for Security Affairs Lieutenant General Tut Galwak and Foreign Minister Miek Aye Deng.
Tut said in press statements after the meeting that the president called on the Sudanese to overcome political differences and put the future of Sudan and its renaissance at the forefront of concerns.
He pointed out that the government delegation provided an enlightenment to President Salva Kiir on the outcomes of the meetings of the heads of organizations and movements, which lasted for two days as part of a workshop to assess the implementation of the Juba peace agreement for Sudan Peace
They renewed the government’s determination to move forward with the implementation of the Juba Agreement for Sudan Peace, despite the challenges and obstacles facing applying some of its clauses downward to the ground.
