Mediation Reveals an updated matrix of JPA

The Southern Mediation Committee announced, in its final statement in Juba today, that the workshop for evaluating the implementation of the Juba Sudan Peace Agreement concluded with an updated matrix for the implementation of the agreement, confirming the approval of the leadership of the two parties to it, in preparation for its signing in the closing session tomorrow, Saturday, corresponding to the eighteenth of the current month of February.

Journalists, at the conclusion of the deliberations of the technical committees of the government and the parties that The peace process, which lasted for five days, stated that the workshop followed the methodology of presenting all the protocols of the agreement, and got acquainted with the challenges and obstacles that accompanied the implementation, by developing an integrated vision for updating the agreement matrix and submitting it to the leaders of the agreement for approval and signing.

Dhieu Matouk, added that the workshop aimed to evaluate the implementation of the agreement, finding out the shortcomings in its implementation, and overcoming the Obstacles and challenges and establishing follow-up, monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to ensure implementation with the required efficiency, to lay the pillars for peace and stability in Sudan.
The rapporteur of the mediation committee confirmed the participation of senior negotiators from the Government of Sudan, the parties to the peace process and the guarantors and witnesses, in the activities of the workshop to evaluate the implementation of the Juba Peace Agreement for Sudan peace.
