Al-Burhan: We accepted the Framework Agreement for the sake of Sudan’s Stability

President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan affirmed during a social visit to the Zakiyab region in the River Nile state, that the army accepted the framework agreement out of conviction and not out of fear of a political organization or alliance.
He added that their agreement to the framework agreement is for the sake of Sudan and in search of political stability, and preserving the revolution that the Sudanese made.
Pointing out that (the army) will never hesitate to protect the country and its citizens.
He went on to say that
: The army is not the army of Al-Burhan nor the army of the Muslim brothers, but rather it the army of Sudan.
He said that the army does not fear the FFC or any political force, and it will not support one group over another, and that it is with the truth. He said that the opportunity for the FFC lies in its acceptance of sitting with others.
Al-Burhan stressed that the army is not a place for bidding to be described as being with this or that, and he said that any force that thinks that it is able to defeat or threaten the army is mistaken.
He emphasized that the FFC came close to an agreement and demanded an agreement from them, adding
that they missed the previous opportunity and they should not miss the current opportunity.
