The National Forum for Thought, Development and Peace at Al-Mughtaribeen University is holding an international virtual seminar on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, under the theme “Approach to National Reconciliation and Healing of a Nation: A Comprehensive Framework and Lessons from Rwanda for Sudan.”

The seminar is being held as part of celebrations marking the Forum’s 10th anniversary and the university’s initiative, “The National Project for Building the Modern Sudanese State.”

The event is held under the auspices of the University President, Prof. Dr. Othman Al-Hassan Mohamed Nour, with Mr. Oswald Rutimburana, a Rwandan expert, as the main speaker.
The seminar is moderated by Ambassador Omar Mohamed Ahmed Siddiq, former Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the National Forum.

The workshop discussed various teaching methods and strategies, including lectures, explanations, discussions and self-learning, as well as interactive approaches based on student participation, such as cooperative learning, role-playing, problem-solving and project-based learning.

It also addressed the constructivist approach, the development of students’ thinking skills, and metacognitive strategies that help learners plan, monitor and evaluate their learning, while promoting independent learning skills.
