The Minister of Human Resources and Social Development , Motasim Ahmed Saleh, today signed an agreement with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to provide technical and financial support for physical rehabilitation services and prosthetic and assistive device centers in Sudan.
The agreement aims to strengthen the capacity of rehabilitation centers to provide quality and sustainable services to persons with disabilities, war-wounded people, and those affected by the conflict.
The Minister said the agreement includes support for materials and equipment, prosthetic and assistive devices, wheelchairs, and physiotherapy, as well as equipment maintenance, operational costs, and incentives for technical staff. It will also contribute to transportation, accommodation and living expenses for beneficiaries, in addition to training, technical supervision, and capacity building.

The Minister expressed his appreciation to the ICRC for the partnership and his hope that it would translate into tangible results at rehabilitation centers across Sudan.
