Minerals Minister Inspects Rehabilitation Works at the Geological Research Authority Headquarters

Minister of Minerals, Professor Noor Al-Daim Taha, today inspected the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation works at the headquarters of the General Authority for Geological Research in Khartoum, in preparation for the Authority’s return to its historic headquarters in central Khartoum.
During the visit, the Minister reviewed the completed works and progress rates, and received a briefing on the various stages of maintenance and rehabilitation, as well as the remaining requirements needed to complete the work. He directed that implementation be accelerated and that the required technical specifications be strictly observed to ensure a suitable working environment for the Authority’s employees.
Taha emphasized that the rehabilitation of the Authority’s headquarters represents an important step in the process of rebuilding and developing institutions within the minerals sector.
He noted that the General Authority for Geological Research plays a pivotal role in supporting and developing the mining sector through geological research and exploration, as well as the production of geological information and data that form the basis for sound planning and investment in mineral resources.
