RSF militia assassinated several field commanders in North Darfur

Revealing the extent of internal conflict and its policy of repression against dissenting voices. The RSF targeted a meeting of prominent tribal leaders in the Ghara al-Zawiya area of ​​North Darfur with a suicide drone.

Informed local sources reported that the attack followed an emergency meeting held by RSF commander Abdul Rahim Dagalo with tribal leaders. During the meeting, Dagalo ordered them to declare a state of alert and forcibly recruit young men and children within their communities to compensate for the heavy losses suffered by the militia, particularly after the Sudanese Armed Forces captured the city of Bara.

According to sources, the meeting witnessed a courageous and defiant stance from four of the region’s most prominent tribal leaders:

Mayor Jad Al-Rab

They declared their categorical rejection of the meeting’s outcomes and attempts to drag their communities into the conflict, emphasizing that previous measures had brought nothing but destruction and the loss of young men to the residents of Al-Furqan, leaving the area completely deserted except for women and the elderly.

Following this public rejection, the meeting place of the dissenting mayors in the Gharaa Al-Zawiya area was targeted by a suicide drone belonging to the militia, resulting in their immediate deaths. This was a premeditated assassination aimed at eliminating leaders who refused to obey Dagalo’s orders.
