The attack caused widespread panic and terror among the unarmed residents, who were subjected to sudden violence targeting their homes, public safety, and private property. In its official statement, the local government explained that the criminal attack directly targeted unarmed civilians in their homes. It was accompanied by widespread looting, including the theft of a large number of livestock and the terrorizing of local residents. This reflects the ongoing violations committed by the RSF against innocent civilians in villages and towns throughout the state, with complete disregard for human life. The government confirmed in a firm tone that the armed forces and the regular forces supporting them moved immediately upon receiving the report and were present in the field with great speed, where they were able to repel the attackers and force them to flee and withdraw in a panic, before announcing the imposition of their full and absolute control over the area to secure the citizens, restore stability and protect lives and property from any possible future threats.
